Hilary has pushed back the launch date of her upcoming tour, and has rescheduled some of her Canadian shows for later this year.
Duff’s website cited “production delays” for the reshuffling, which moves six of her shows to the back end of her itinerary in September, including the tour’s previous opener in Montreal. The tour, which backs Duff’s latest studio effort, “Dignity,” will now kick off July 28 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Other affected dates include Duff’s shows in Ottawa, Hamilton, London, Sault St. Marie and Toronto, all in the Canadian province of Ontario. The complete revised schedule is included below. All tickets previously purchased for the rescheduled shows will be honored for the new dates, according to Duff’s website.

Hilary Duff looks so good that she was chosen for the cover of Us Weekly’s first annual swimsuit issue. But when the singer/actress was 15, she came across a press report criticizing her for her weight.
“It made me obsessed,” she tells Us of the story that drove her into a hard-core diet and exercise binge. “I would beat myself up if I had some fat.”
But when the 5-foot-2 star’s weight plummeted to around 100 pounds in 2005 (down from 130 in 2003), her sister Haylie, 22, finally intervened.
“She said, ‘Why are you being so strict with yourself?’It was like an awakening,” says Duff, who eased up on her rigorous program.
“I don’t want to be so skinny that people are like, Oh my god, she’s lost a lot of weight.”
Now, at 19, Duff tells Us that she’s content at 109 pounds. “As you get older, you just get more comfortable in your own skin.”
Instead of counting fat grams or calories, she relies on a hearty helping of common sense: lots of greens, lean protein and fresh fruit.
“You need to find balance,” she says.

Hilary has confessed that she’s contemplated leaving the celebrity world of show business on more than one occasion.
She’s only 19-years-old, but Duff is already burned out by the fast-paced, non-stop lifestyle that accompanies her career.
Duff told press, “I go get stressed out and I do get sad sometimes about the constant work. When I travel a lot usually I’m just so tired that I just want to go to my hotel room and sleep. After doing that for a couple of months you think, ‘Why do I do this? Where’s the reward?’”
Part of her frustration lies in the fact that she can’t seem to shake her child star, Lizzie McGuire image. “They’ll meet with me. They’ll want to go somewhere and talk, ask questions. Then they’ll call and say, ‘We really love her, she’s great, wow.’ But they have no imagination.”
“I know people look at me and think I’m just so mainstream, ‘She’s just a blonde, young girl.’ But I want to be really artistic.”

Hilary Duff formed a huge crush on John Travolta after seeing him in movie musical classic Grease. Duff was born nine years after the 1978 movie was released, but admits she was obsessed with the film - and its hunky dimple-chinned star - as a child. She says, “My first crush was John Travolta in Grease. Do you think that’s disgusting? It is a bit, thinking about it now. But we didn’t have that many videos when I was a kid, so he was the one I watched. “I must have been about seven, but I watched it with my older sister, so I guess my crush wasn’t really age-appropriate. I liked his dancing. I wanted to be Sandy so bad, and Sandy liked him, so I liked him too.”

Hilary Duff was shocked to see ex-boyfriend Joel Madden hitting the clubs following their break-up - because he had always despised the Hollywood party circuit when they were dating. The singer/actress was stunned by Joel’s outgoing behavior following their split in November 2006, and was left feeling like she “didn’t really know” Madden despite their two-and-a-half year romance.
She tells Seventeen magazine, “All of the going out he did after we broke up sort of shocked me. Like, that’s just so out of character for him, and when we were together, he hated stuff like that, so I felt like I didn’t really know him as well as I thought I did.” But the 19-year-old has not been put off finding love and still remains optimistic. She adds, “I still want the cookie-cutter American dream - to get married, have kids, and have a house with a picket fence. I still believe that marriage can work.”

Hilary Duff refuses to spoil herself with endless gifts despite her extreme wealth, because she wants shopping to remain exciting. The 19-year-old millionaire treats herself to the odd pair of shoes, but otherwise tries to lead a thrifty life.
She tells People magazine, “Girls get cravings to get a new pair of shoes once in awhile so I definitely treat myself. I buy things for my house. I definitely feel like it’s a big treat to have what I want in my house and get to enjoy it.
“I definitely don’t just buy what I want. When you get to that point, then you’re never excited about anything? If I splurge on a bag I still get so excited about it and like, talk about it all the time. I like feeling like that.”

John Cusack has leaped to the defense of Hilary Duff, insisting her transition from pop singer to movie star is a huge success.
The pair appear together in upcoming movie War, Inc, but Cusack is exasperated by press skepticism about his co-star’s acting abilities.
He tells MTV, “The part was… she played a pop idol from central Asia. So, she was like a Hilary - but not Hilary, because Hilary is so classy - but like a real, and I won’t name names, but a real slutty pop star.
“Hilary is the opposite of that, of course. I think for her to play that, or to parody that, was really great.
“I think probably people wouldn’t know how talented she is. I mean, she’s a great actress. I just spent the entire fall with her and she was a revelation every day. I don’t think people know that yet, but they’re gonna.”

Hilary Duff is adamant she didn’t lose out on a ‘proper childhood’ - because she now has everything she needs. The singer/actress came to prominence at the age of 13, when she starred in kid’s TV series Lizzie McGuire. But Duff insists she wouldn’t change her time in the limelight as she’s experienced so much as a famous teen.
She says, “I wonder what life would have been like to have a different life.
“I sometimes wish I wasn’t always watched or didn’t have to worry about been seen somewhere. But I’ve experienced things other girls haven’t. I’ve travelled, I’m financially independent, I own a beautiful home and I’m happy with my job. I don’t have to struggle with the questions a lot of other women do.”
